Hotel Interlaken

Hot drinks at Irish bar, excellent service. Had free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Great and brilliant location, not too far from a grassy park...

The location was marvellous and brilliant right in the center of the city.

The setting was average.

Note: Our trip took place at the time of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in mid-March. The rooms were cleaned and disinfected daily to the highest standard. In addition, all health precautions were taken throughout the hotel, including the distribution of disinfectant dispensers throughout the hotel and an elegant solution for keeping the intervals between meals. Questions were answered in detail by the reception staff at all times and wishes were fulfilled to their complete satisfaction. Moreover, the dinner was on a very high level (worth the one or other star). As you can see from the photos, the rooms are bright, modern and well equipped. One more word about the location: only a few minutes walk to Interlaken Ost station (direct connections to Hamburg / Berlin). We would come back any time.

The price / performance ratio is okay, the room is fine. The air conditioning was quiet and pleasant this time. The beds were comfortable, the pillows good. . The location is great, in 5 minutes you are at the train station. We had an absolutely quiet room, there was no noise from the street or from the hotel guests. The breakfast buffet is varied, very nice bread selection, local mountain cheese, fresh fruit salad, tasty scrambled eggs and much more. The jam comes from donors, unfortunately the bowls are made of plastic, which reduces the ecological aspect somewhat. There are also portion jams, which of course is not very useful. . The staff is friendly.

No fridge in the room! A shortcoming for a 4 * hotel. Mainly because we chose a higher room category this time. In the other room there was a minibar, so you should be able to assume that the higher category also has one. Unfortunately there was only a cloakroom, no closet. That was also better in the lower category. Like the bathroom. Unfortunately with a bathtub instead of a shower as requested, rather old-fashioned and hardly any storage space. Apart from the view, we could not find any improvement that justified a higher room category. The size of the room was about the same. The last one even had two balconies, none at all. But since the price was okay and we stayed only one night this time, these details didn't bother us.

What do you need more then Hotel Interlaken? Nice staff, excellent location between Interlaken Ost & Interlake West Stations. Free parkings for guests, free internet, warm welcome and tasty breakfast. The view from the balcony for the back rooms are great ... recently remodeled ... Highly recommended ...

Location and nature are a fairy tale. The number was given with an overview on both sides of the mountains and it was the first thing that conquered us! That's great. The second plus is a fresh, clean bed. The third plus is good breakfast, like in a decent EU hotel.

It's a small number, but it's probably because of the old building itself. We also did not like the dust somewhere in the room, the lack of slippers (half cold in the bathroom), bathrobes, awfully uncomfortable chair (I sometimes wanted to sit on something other than a bed, but it did not work with comfort). In any case, we had a great mood, because the place and nature are delightful!

Comfortable beds and good food, if you could get it.

The service was quite poor. We were told on more then one occassion we could get food, or a drink only to be be told no by the staff. Given the large selection of hotels, I would stay somewhere else.

Loved the friendly helpful staff and the view from our 4th floor junior suite was to die for. breakfast included was nice and ate at the restaurant there 2 nights and both meals were superb. During our 4 in Europe, this restaurant was one of the nicest meals we had. Wasn't cheap but when you get good quality, you don't mind paying.Loved the beds and pillows too. Feather down which were excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel and our room and bathroom had recently been renovated.

Unboxing my experience

Upon arriving, I was pleased to find the staff accommodating, allowing me to store my bags and enjoy complimentary coffee. The room was well-appointed and clean, with an excellent view from the back. Its proximity to the station and town was fantastic. A good stay overall!

We are a family of 4 - 2 Adults & 2 kids. Great place, great staff & excellent location.

The staff - They were incredibly professional and friendly. My room was also upgraded for no extra charge and the room was gorgeous.

Cozy and comfortable bed .

I was infuriated to find that the wifi system was a mess. It took far too long to get connected and the receptionist seemed indifferent to our struggles. The room was not cleaned properly. The dirty cups were left behind and we ran out of soap because it wasn't refilled. This lack of attention to detail.

We don't have problem for early check in. The staff is so friendly. The room size is goood.

I loved how the hotel was just a few steps from the charming Japanese garden and an easy walk to the local restaurants, made exploring the area so enjoyable. Plus, the hospitality of the staff really added to the cute vibe of the place.
